Smart classrooms are advanced educational infrastructures where learning is processed digitally. Audio-visual sessions enhance the student's knowledge and interest in studies. Teachers conduct interactive sessions to teach their students. These interactive sessions can be conducted in school and from home as well.
BCCST is spread over a huge campus of six acres out of which 40% is green and covered with so many plants. This pollution free campus and state of the art of building signifies the calm and quite academics atmosphere of the college.
Our class rooms are specious and well ventilated all our class rooms are large, enough to occupy the student’s strength as per the norms of the Govt. of Odisha. The main focus is it provides flexible teaching spaces as a close connection with our magnificent out door environment. All the class rooms are under CC TV surveillance with twenty four hour power supply by DG set. All the corridors are specious for the students and staff for their easy movement.
The academic development of the science student depends upon investigation and experiments. This make science a one of the interesting subjects. The enjoyment of the practical task cannot be underestimated, it can often be the driving face behind the decision to make learning to the next table. The science laboratories first of all are the places for experiment which enhance the innovative ideas of the little brain. Our laboratories are well equipped with modern technique which help the students to complete their project in a stipulated time.
The sophisticated and fully air-conditioned Computer Lab has about adequate latest model Computers with up-to-date Software and Operating System. 24 hours Wi-Fi connection is available in the Lab.
Books are the real friend and the learning methodology of the students. To fulfill such wanting we have a large library resource centre having variety of books, selected volumes, national and international journalsand a huge reference books. This library take the credit of having 14 thousand books and a reading room for the staff and students. To expand their knowledge the different subject teachers sometimes help the students to find the books and journals.
The College provide comfortable, homely and eco- friendly living environment Hostel facilities with affordable cost, hygienic nutritious meal &Aquaguard facility to all the amenities.
Individual Boys Hostel for +2 & +3 stream, newly inaugurated own building 200 capacity Girls Hostel adjacent to the college with 24 Hours tight security is the main attraction for all the students. They all live together in the Hostels which help in developing healthy and cordial relationship among them. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the Hostel and also in the college campus. Parents by putting their wards in the hostel get the best environment for study and a well-disciplined environment to nurture their best practices for academic pursuits.
The Hostel rooms are well furnished and well ventilated as if a home away from home.The students follow a disciplined life style, maintain Study hour, do Prayer & Yoga, take part in Sports suiting to their to their individual taste and preferences. Floor wise Superintendents and Wardens are present to take care of the students.
The College Canteen is well furnished, sanitized and has a healthy environment. Around 120 students can use the Canteen facilityat a stretch. Healthy, nutritious Hot food in Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is served to all the students. All the staff members take the same food with the students and all the girls take food separately.
For easy Communication of Day Scholar Students & Staff in and around Bhubaneswar to college & from Hostel to College, our buses ply on major routes with stoppages wich will be convenient to the students.
Physical Education, work Experience, Drawing and Painting, Music and Dance form a part of theCo-Curricular activities in the College. In addition to this, we give ample opportunities to the children to develop qualities of leadership through the house system. Children are encouraged to participate in the competitions organized in the college during observation of National holidays and Special Days and outside the College as well. Programmes of educative values are also conducted frequently.
Health care facilities for students and staff are felt to be the basic need of the individuals. The College has sensitive First Aid facilities to all the students for which they can get immediate primary treatment on the spot. Serious cases with the permission from the guardian are referred to the nearby renowned Hospital.
Students take a break in the lap of nature. The management takes all the students phase wise in the month end Sunday to the nearby holistic & aesthetic places to visit and enjoy. The places we have stepped are Olasuni, Konark, Kapilas, Asurakumari, Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri, Khandagiri, Udaygiri&Dhauli Shanti Stupa etc. from where the students learn about the history of the monuments.
BCCST strongly believe in the growth of physical strength for all staff and students. The flow of competition comes from the conduct of sports for which different Gymnastics have been introduced in the annual sports. The most interesting and fascinating in door and out door events take place. The students participate in badminton, volley ball , carromboard, chess as in door games and inter class cricket tournament take place in which all the staffs and students participate. After all the organization of sports activities creates enormous enthusiasm among the students.
